Using a typewriter as the source of inspiration, the physicality of the object has suggested successional elements and rhythms. By repeating these strands and with each ephemeral layer of paint applied the image slowly comes forth in a narrative manner, depicting the history of process that could easily be lost in translation.
The translucent quality of the medium and the incessant multi-layering process somehow often result in a subtle, perhaps pictorial, yet intriguing surface with an intention to slow down the visual experience of the viewer.
